Saturday is Family Day at the 2012 San Antonio Auto Show
The San Antonio Auto Show has Family Day on the schedule for Saturday, with appearances by Elmo and Optimus Prime, free admission for kids 10 and under and the Autobahn in the YMCA Kids Zone.

Saturday, Nov. 17 will be Family Day at the 44th annual San Antonio Auto Show. Families can enjoy a wide range of activities on Saturday, including appearances by Sesame Street’s Elmo and the Transformer Optimus Prime from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.The YMCA of Greater San Antonio is sponsoring the Kids Zone at the San Antonio Auto Show this year. Kids can enjoy games, face painting and visits from Elmo and Optimus Prime.

Also in the Kids Zone is the San Antonio Auto Show Kids Zone Autobahn Race. Children attending the show will have the opportunity to pick from seven miniature race cars compete in their own Autobahn. Each kid who rides will be eligible to win one of the miniature cars at the end of the show.

Children 10 and under will receive free admission for the entirety of the San Antonio Auto Show.

The San Antonio Auto Show will begin on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. and is hosted at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The show will run all weekend, closing on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale for each day of the show. Early bird ticketing for $9 ends online November 14. Regular priced tickets are $12 for adults and children ages 11 and up. The show offers a discounted price of $8 to all senior adults and active/retired military members, as well as free admission to children under age 10.
