Grand Prix Arrives in Austin, Just in Time for the San Antonio Auto Show

Texan fans of Formula One racing can now enjoy the sport closer to home. The Circuit of the Americas track in Austin, Texas will host the 2012 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix on November 16-18, coinciding with the San Antonio Auto Show. Formula One races are ranked the highest class of single-seater auto racing by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and include some of the worlds fastest circuit-racing cars.

“It’s so exciting to have this event just down the road from the San Antonio Auto Show,” said Pamela Crail, President of the San Antonio Automobile Dealers Association. “To have two celebrations of cars and drivers in the same weekend is an honor for Texas.”

This marks the first Formula One race in the United States since 2007, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 1000-acre site has a state-of-the-art 3.4-mile circuit track and holds 120,000 excited spectators. To celebrate the joint weekend of these two great car events, we are offering $1 off regularly priced tickets to the San Antonio Auto Show if you present a ticket from the United States Grand Prix races in Austin.

The San Antonio Auto Show runs from Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2p.m through Sunday, November 18 2012 until 7p.m.

You can purchase your tickets for the San Antonio Auto Show online or at the door. Tickets are $10 for adults and children ages 11 and up at the door. Online tickets bought after Nov. 14 will be $10, plus a $2 service charge for each ticket purchased.
